reminiscent of the pseudobaileyi but leaves are coated with silvery trichomes giving it a softer look than that parent

Tillandsia 'Royal Sceptre' Size:Medium *VIPP plants are offsets -A cultivar of a hybrid by Mark Dimmitt of Tillandsia ferreyrae x bulbosa, named by N. Wong. Taller and larger and leafier than bulbosa, but most resembling that parent. A handsome plant with an egg shaped, bulbous base and terete leaves that are mostly upright and somewhat wavy. Green with a slight veneer of silver trichomes, it blushes red on the upper leaves at anthesis. The inflorescence is tall, but not as tall as the foliage and bright reddish.
