1920 Happy Bedtime Mr. Punch Mascot/Hood Ornament M-157 This lovely mascot is modeledA 1920s Happy Bedtime Mr. Punch Mascot Hood Ornament. This piece is known as a bedtime figure and depicts Mr. Punch smoking a cigar while holding a quill. Tobacconists mounted these figures on their counters and attached them to the gas supply so that clients could light their cigars immediately after purchase. The flame emitting from the tip of the brass cigar functioned as a perpetual lighter. It has a hole in the cigar, and one in the base. It is
