Clos de la Roilette (Coudert), Fleurie Vendange Tardive, 2014 (1.5L) gianfranc2021 The 2017 is open-knit andA magnum of one of Beaujolais' most serious Gamays: Clos de la Roilette's Cuvee Tardive, which, despite the name, is a dry, age worthy Fleurie from the oldest vines, not a late harvest sweet wine. Alain Coudert's clay and manganese soils give the wine real grip and Pinot like depth, and the large format means this 2014 is aging slowly and gracefully. Now in a lovely mature spot, it's a showpiece for the table. Decant before serving.
