Germany, SS. A Waffen-SS Totenkopf Visor Cap Insignia, by F.W. Assmann & Söhne Newly Listed clasp in well worn condition(Waffen SS Totenkopf fr die Schirmmtze). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a second pattern SS style Totenkopf, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of manufacture by F. W. Assmann & Shne, Ldenscheid, measuring 30. 45 mm (w) x 28. 81 mm (h), weighing 3. 7 grams, demonstrating total loss of finish to the base metal with some oxidation, in addition to the loss of the attachment prongs, a storied example in fair condition.
