Germany, Third Reich. A Trench Art Coin Purse, with Currency Hold Four shoulder board pips(Mnzbeutel aus Stahl, mit Mnzen). An interesting trench art coin purse, constructed of two pieces of hand hammer magnetic steel, the lid bearing a gilded disc in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath surrounding a swastika, opening with a functional hinge to reveal a hollow interior retaining 39 Third Reich period coins in 1, 2, 5, and 10 Reichspfennig denominations, unmarked, measuring 7 cm (l) x 6. 5 cm (w), in extremely fine condition.
