Footnote: The Battalion was raised in Ontario and Quebec with mobilization headquarters at Valcartier under the authority of G. O. 69, July 15, 1916. The Battalion sailed September 11, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant Colonel W. R. Smith with a strength of 44 officers and 1,088 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the
